George Geary

George Geary (b.1877) was the son of Amelia (nee Messer) and Albert Geary.

Amelia, Albert, George and Pap Geary (about 1904)

Albert, Amelia and family.

As with many of the Geary men, George worked in a shoe factory.
He passed in 1916.

Note: Most of the rest of this, is “as far as I can tell”. So, I’m not too certain of most of it.

Albert Geary (b.1848) was the son of Catherine(nee Minnig) and Charles Geary.
He was born in Cressona, and worked on the railroad, and eventually, yes at a shoe factory.
There is more (if you search) at Sch. Haven History com
Albert passed in 1928.

I know nothing of Charles Geary.

Catherine Minnig (b. 1830) was the daughter of Elizabeth (nee Fessler) and Daniel Minnig.
According to census data, she was a Mullen in 1870. Not sure what all of that means.
Catherine passed in 1906.

I know little of her parents, except a couple surnames: Confer, Steininger, and Wagner.

Amelia Messer (b. 1853) was the daughter of Rebecca (nee Krown( b.1820)) and Daniel Messer (b.1817)
She passed in 1934.
